“Aditi” is a Sanskrit name. Sanskrit is an ancient and classical language of India and Hinduism.

If you would ask me to define it the easy way through English, then I would say that the meaning of Aditi is ‘Boundless’. Easy Peasy? No, it’s not, it means more than boundless. It dates back thousands of years ago.

The thing that goes around Hinduism is that we have millions of gods. We do. Even though I don’t know all their names, there are too many. But it is said that Aditi (Goddess) was the mother of all gods. Extra info- she had a sister named Diti who was the mother of all demons (Rakshas).

Aditi, according to Hinduism means “Mother of all Gods”. And in general, it means “Boundless” or “Mother Earth”.

Aditi is not a very common name, but it surely has a rich history as I explained above. Also, this name can only be used for a girl.

For a boy, the alternate can be “Aditya”, because it sounds pretty similar. “Aditya” means “Sun God” according to Hinduism. He was also one of the sons of Goddess “Aditi” who was very prominent among the others.

[P.S The picture is ME when I was a kid. haha! I think it's the only picture that means my name, xD]
